Unhappy trans swap

OK, heres the kicker, my 85 v8 gt mustangs OEM trans went out. so i found a new one on crags-list. just a little bit ago, I noticed that, the trans is a different year, here is whats on the tag 12550927 BU153 1352-245 38405. i think its a late 80, early 90s trans.

I know the drive shaft, will have to be replaced, but will there be a problem hooking it up to the oem, motor, stock. my old trans has wide spines, and the new one has thin ones, that are to plug up to the motor, any help, would make my day. I hope that, i didn't waste all that money

ONE MORE THING---will a different year fox drive shaft, still plug right up to my rear axle
