I tried the pb trick and the torch not a chance. I am going to get wheel cylinders I just need to sell my 1976 1/2 firebird formula. I just hope my dad don,t kill me first!!!
LOL I never change wheel cylinders. replaced motors and trannys and stuff like that. so is there any tricks to this or just basic that anyone can do it

It is pretty basic, take the drum off.
Disconnect brake line.
Take the 2 bolts on the inside of car off(behind backing plate).
Sometimes you can have a buddy pull the shoes away, but may need to take it all apart.
If you have my luck you will get under it and notice the dick that had the car before you stripped the brake line fitting...
Once disconnected
Pull it out, away from the car, put a line wrench with a pipe on the end on the fitting.
I use a big pipe wrench on the wheel cylinder and twist off. Again this still might not work and might end up ruining the fitting. Then you will need to use a hack saw and cut the line as close to the fitting as possible and get a new one/re flare it.
Good luck

I got the lines off using pb and a vice grips. I know I really messed up the fitting but i got my firebird sold so I don't care about it because ALL the brakes all round are new. But my brakes still work like **** and I found out my booster is bad so I am getting a new master, booster and slave tommorrow plus new lines and fittings. I never skimp out with the stang. I know that the booster is going to be a pain to get out but it will be worth it in the end.
