Ok guys this is my first time in the 5.0 section lol. My buddy is picking up a 93 Gt w/ an E303 cam, and GT40 heads. But he still has the stock length pushrods...what length does he need to get some performance???
what length does he need to get some performance???
LOL....that is awesome!!!
seriously tho, the length of the push rod has nothing to do with making power. as long as the rocker tip stays centered on the valve stem the rods are the correct length.
OP your buddy needs to measure for the correct length ones
if the motor is already in and running or has been, I doubt anything needs to be done, I think the op has a misconception of what proper pushrod length is for

.... on the contrary, the length of the pushrod also has to do with making power however, it is the engine what dictates the correct length needed. And no..... centering the pattern is not what's important, narrowing the pattern width is.
