most likely you will need a 21 tooth. for a 90 AOD on the chart on LRS.com it only goes up to 3.55 and they say a 23 tooth... idk about that, in my 89 AOD with 4.10s I have a 23 tooth. but shift points will be adjusted with the governor.

I would also like to know what governor to use with 4:10's. I also have a 89 with AOD.

Texas Mustang chart says 21 tooth. Need a Governor? Have the one from N.C. use her all you want sure as heck used everyone here. Probably you wiil get a parade for having her. Bubba

advantagedon you need a 23 tooth

stroked, you need a 23 as well but because of the years its a different part number for each.

steeda.com has the chart listed

Alright thanks!

BTW, do they make 4:10 gears for stock rear diff carrier that had 2.73? Or would i have to go with a different rear end?

Another question what rpm do you hit with 4:10 in over drive at cruising speeds with a AOD?

Sorry about the thread Hijack.

8.8 is an 8.8 bro... you could put 5.13's in if you really wanted to
