what mods do you have? your cam should match the intake, heads etc to get the best performance from it. you have to pull the valve covers, rockers, water pump, etc so it will take some time
if you only plan on doing a cam then dont do it. the cam should be the last decision you make when doing mods. all bolt ons are supported by the stock HO cam. all the cam does is determine the amount of fuel and air coming in and the exhaust coming out, so if youre not adding to the incoming air, and the exhaust leaving there is no reason to change the amount of valve lift, or duration. all it will do is give you worse driveability, and a car that doesnt perform as well as a stock one.
after small bolys on yes...but when heads etc get involved then your cam is the FIRST thing to look at as this will basically give the engine it's rpm range....the cam is like the brain of the engine
well thank you......that is a good way to put it......i was going to do a new intake manifold and i have flowmasters and i am getting headers. so i should wait till im done w/ that before i do cam.
