Default Steering Shaft bolt

anyone know where i could get a steering shaft bolt except for a junkyard? i think i have it with misc hardware but would be good to know where i could get one if i need it. thanks mike

Head on over to your local hardware store and grab some thread pitch gauges. They're usually small little pieces of straight metal with teeth etched into them, and those teeth represent the pitch and threads per inch. Find the correct gauge, you've found the bolt you need to buy.

Believe it or not, just about every bolt in these cars is metric, so don't worry about buying SAE gauges.

If you mean the one where the column goes into the shaft mine just has a bolt and nut on it. I think its a 7/16"" bolt. My local hardware store carries grade 8 bolts and that what I put in it with my flaming river shaft.
