probably a dumb idea but no where in your posts have i seen you replaced the battery....alot of those symptoms could be from a bad cell

check your vanity lights in your sunvisors those are on fuse 8, that is where my draw was the covers weren't pushing the switches enough to shut them off

yep....the vanity lights on the visors will kill a battery.


mattdel....of the 7 Fox cars I've owned (from a 79 to a 93) only one (88 GT vert) had the fuel door popper.

he said that when he pulled fuse #8 that the battery would no longer die overnight...so a bad cell in the battery is not the cause

put a switch in the circuit and cut it off everytime you turn off the car lol. or maybe take it to a real mechanic and let them trace the entire circuit to troubleshoot the excessive draw

I had a similiar problem with 89LX hatch... it went on for weeks with me constantly charging my battery... one night I want to the garage to get a beer (in the dark) and noticed that my lighted sun visors were on even though they were closed. I have no clue what fuse that is or if it draws from any other fuse but I disconnected the visors and havn't had to charge my battery in over a year. Good luck with your search.
