What mjr46 said. Trash the factory TFS springs, and get the correct springs/seats/keepers for your cam. This should help cure your valve float problem. Boy it's been a long time since I posted here!

is it okay to have them changed on the car or do i need to remove the heads.

i have the springs that came with my cam but they are on another set of heads, the stock heads that i worked over before i decided that i needed new heads. can they be taken off and installed onto my trickflow heads with the heads still on the car?

Is it possible, yes (using compressed air, or a piece of rope pushed into the spark plug hole. Is it the correct way to do it, no. Depending on the springs, the spring seats may need to be machined/shimmed, and once installed, install height, coil bind, seat pressure, open height, open pressure ect... needs to be verified for each valve. Others may disagree?
