Clutch Cable/Pedal help...Confused!
So I just replaced my clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing and pilot bearing.
When I was first disconnecting the clutch cable i thought i heard something pop loose and all of a sudden I had alot of slack on the cable at the transmission. When that happened I looked under the dash at the pedals and didnt seem to see anything. Today when I put everything back together, I noticed the clutch cable must have disconnected from the quadrant behind the gas pedal. So I connected it and then connected the cable to the clutch fork and adjusted it to where it was when I took it apart. When i tried to drive it, if you start the car in first the car automatically is trying to pull forward and I cant get it out of gear to change gears.
Does anyone know what this sounds like?

the other half of the quadrant, the quadrant has teeth, which interlocks with the pawl, you need to make sure the pawl and quadrant are set at the beginning of their adjustment range, then pull up on the pedal until it clicks
