Default Front Disc Brakes

I am currently having a very frustrating/annoying problem with my front disc brakes. I replaced the pads two days ago, and for the first day everything was fine. Since, when first driving my car during the day, everything is fine. After stopping five or six times, the brakes are staying compressed and constantly rubbing against the rotors, causing the steering wheel to shake, and making it difficult/tedious to get up to speed on the freeway and even just around town. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? Any swift answers are GREATLY appreciated, as I am trying to fix this problem within the next six hours before I work. Thanks! =)

Air in the lines couldn't cause them to stick..

Did you libricate those twenty year old slide pins??? My DD cavalier had only eight years on its lifespan and it raped the front inside brake pads because the slide pins prevented the outside pads from being used....

Your slide pins are probably rusted and preventing the pads from backing off...

FYI the slide pins are the bolts that attach the outer and inner brake caliper.

Only time a had an issue like that was with a Ford van I had, one side kept locking down after multiple quick uses and getting hot. I ended up having to replace the caliper to solve the problem.

jack the car up and see which wheel is hard to spin, if it does not free spin with ease of a push by the hand, open a bleeder, if it is still stiff = bad caliper = replace it

Thank you for all of the input. I'll be doing that this weekend, Mjr46.

Also, if you have messed with the rod coming out of the brake booster that could cause it. I once had a 'mechanic' work on the brakes on my RX7, he adjusted the rod out because he thought that would solve the issue I was having. My mom picked the car up from him, after hitting the brakes a few times, it was clamping so tight she had to keep it in first gear to get home. It was about 2 miles, but by the time she got there all 4 corners were smoking...surprised it didn't catch fire. Good times!

If the caliper doesn't fix it. Try a flex hose. Sometimes they swell shut.

I've never heard of this. Can you elaborate/explain? Flex hoses have steel inside them and I don't see them swelling up like a fat persons arteries.
