Default quad shock

okay im thinkin about removin my quad shock to fit wider tires and if i do will this affect handling and perfromance? whats the widest trie that will fit if i remove the quad shock assembly? thanks

you can try in fliping them over to gain about an inch and they still work...if you install a aftermarket set of upper and lower control arms thier not needed anyway

No not unless you get a good aftermarket set of U/L control arms,since the quads help control wheel hop and aftermarket control arms will virtualy eliminate the need for the quad shocks

If your running 17's about a 275/40/17 but with a 15x8 you could fit a 275/50/15 easy.

it all depends on wheel size, and offset. i seen a set of 315/45/15 drag radials that tucked in the fenderwell with no quads.

If you have decent upper and lower control arms they aren't needed. I pulled mine to accommodate 275/50/15's with 15X8 Weld's and have no wheel hop at all. I did need to add 1/2" spacers to keep the tires off the inside well.
