wait????????? are you talking about a miss, or a noise, because i though "popping" was a noise. a miss could be alot of things, does it do it throughout the driving range, at idle, under load, no load. need more info.

It does it mostly under a load. When you give it gas hard it strains like it's going to die and makes a popping sound like the old models did when the spit back through the carb. It seems to idle fine and will take the gas very quickly with no kick back when in park. Everything seems to be when driving. If you floor it, it will stop shutter and rpms will sluggishly get up to 3000 and no higher. You can let off the gas a little and it will climb higher then. I'm totaly stumped!

Check your 02 sensors im telling you it might be the prob

if your going to clean the maf use DRI its industrial elactrical contact cleaner believe me this stuff is probably top of the line reason i know is because my dad is a High voltege electrician u can get it through electrical appliance stores just about anywhere id check the o2 sensors to if i were u just a few sugg. good luck

check your TPS voltage. so it does it at WOT, then its definately not the O2s, or MAF(if you had one). its probably going to be a bad TPS, vacuum leak, or MAP sensor. might also be timing, so get that checked too.
