Cleaning MAF

RE: Cleaning MAF
wait????????? are you talking about a miss, or a noise, because i though "popping" was a noise. a miss could be alot of things, does it do it throughout the driving range, at idle, under load, no load. need more info.

RE: Cleaning MAF
It does it mostly under a load. When you give it gas hard it strains like it's going to die and makes a popping sound like the old models did when the spit back through the carb. It seems to idle fine and will take the gas very quickly with no kick back when in park. Everything seems to be when driving. If you floor it, it will stop shutter and rpms will sluggishly get up to 3000 and no higher. You can let off the gas a little and it will climb higher then. I'm totaly stumped!

RE: Cleaning MAF
check your TPS voltage. so it does it at WOT, then its definately not the O2s, or MAF(if you had one). its probably going to be a bad TPS, vacuum leak, or MAP sensor. might also be timing, so get that checked too.
