Your air silencer is going to be in the fenderwell. Advance your timing, get a K&N drop in filter, get some headers an h-pipe and a cat back. When money allows get some gears 3.73s or 4.10s. Got any pic.s of your car? How many miles? Tell us about it.

Do the free mods first:
advanced the timing
pull out the air silencer
cut the fender hole to the size of the air box
do these if you dont have emissions to worry about
Delete the coolant lines to the EGR spacer
Block off the EGR Valve
Always tune-up first:
Autolite #25 plugs
MSD super conductor wires
fuel filter
pcv valve and screen
fuel system cleaner (I use seafoam)
EASY first mods:
Delete the Smog pump with a shorter belt and take the pump off
Drop in a K&N panel filter
Then gears
advanced the timing
pull out the air silencer
cut the fender hole to the size of the air box

MSD super conductor wires

^^^ hes pretty much right on, get it tunes up and running good.. then mod,
id go full exhaust, then a shifter, then gears, and of course all the free mods, also electric fan is a free mod.. i got one from a junkyard for 5$ and it works great.
