I have an 88 GT with a 306 carb in it. I recently got it and it was fine until last night. I drove it for about 20 minutes then had to stop at my house and grab something. I let it sit idling for about 15-20 minutes and coolant was leaking out everywhere from the over flow tank. I thought that it might be my electric fans shorting out but they were working fine. I'm thinking that it is the radiator now but would like to know what other people thought. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If it only overheats while idling. Most likely you do not have enough fan.

Fans wired correctly? Pulling outside air into radiator not pushing engine compartment heat into radiator.

Do they have a shroud that's in good shape?
