Kenne Bell for 91 LX
Ive got an almost stock 1991 Lx hatch. Im wanting any info on installing a Kenne Bell Blowzilla 2.1 on my car. I've been told the only things i need are cooler plugs and 91 octane or better fuel. Ive got a gt 40 lower to install as well. My only mods are: rebuilt AOD with shift kit and new stock convertor, 4:10 gears and bbk fenderwell cold air intake.

go a step or two colder on the plugs. The colder the plug, the quicker it will fowl out. You want a copper plug like an Autolite 24. If the ignition is upgraded, gap them to .035. If it is not, I was always told to go with a .028 to .030 gap.
I haven't looked into the 2.1 blowzilla kits to know what they require. I assume they come with a fmu. If it does, start the timing out at 8 degrees and bump it from there. I wouldn't go over 10 myself. Then there is always a boost timing retard device that can help with detonation. I chunked my fmu because, the car didn't run right with it. I upgraded to 42lb. injectors, an aftermarket maf and a custom tune.

Other than that, that is about it. Like I said though, ask them what needs to be done to keep the boost low with the kenne bell. I imagine it needs a very large pulley to keep the boost low which means you may need a smaller crank pulley. Reason I say this is because a larger pulley wouldn't fit under the hood of my 93 without a cowl hood or some modifications elsewhere. Your car may be different. I also say that because the even with 6lbs. of boost, your car may start to show some problems that it didn't have before.
Also, your egr equipment can't be ran with the 2.1 the last I checked.
