mustang brake upgrade
i was recently thinking of buying new calipers in front 73mm svo calipers. and mm brake caliper sleeves . but since i dont have rear discs yet the website reccomends not using 73 mm in front with rear drums. Couldnt I just buy a proportioning valve to make up for the power difference. my brakes just plain suck and i want to upgrade them . and am unsure if this would work

RE: mustang brake upgrade
by all means get the 73mm calipers but you'll need a new master cly out of an svo or a 95gt..also get a russel braided line kit this well give you better pedal feel and better pressure to the wheel.....on the rear find a set of semi-mettalic shoes

you can do the swap on the front without any other change, you will be replacing pads quicker, but not so much as to worry about it. also you have to get a differant pad, the raybestos # is MD200. i agree with vfast though, get some braided lines to give you a good pedal feel. also to save money, the 90-93 crown vics and grand marquis use the 73mm calipers, they are available from parts store remanufactured so they are cheaper.
