Default Leaking ?

Okay once in a while under the floor mat behind passenger seat there is a big wet spot. I have no idea where this is coming from does anybody know ? Also how do I remove the big trim pieces under the windows by the mirrors? I want to repaint them. Can I just use normal black spray paint for this or will it look ****ty? Tips? Thanks

Does it occur when you run the a/c? If so the drain may be blocked. Also it could be coolant if you are running straight water.

For the trim I use Duplicolor Engine enamel with ceramic in it. If you clean, prime, and paint then will the duplicolor paint and primer they will look good. Ive done all the trim on the stang and some on my DD explorer. They both still look great.

The water is coming from your door seal the rubber strip that runs around your door. It needs to be glued to the body of the car. I had the same problem. If you check it I bet its loose.

50resto.com sells interior paint... mine turned out good.
the spot could also be from the quarter window leaking. mine leaks... or the door seal.
are you talking about the door panels?
magic erasers actually work really well for cleaning interior stuff. it gets all the nasty buildup off.

I use the engine enamel because duplicolor makes one called ford semi gloss black and I like the color of it. For my interior I used the stuff from 5.0 resto.

To clean the trim start with soap water, then mineral spirits, and finally alcohol.

Sit in the car and have someone else use a garden hose from the outside and see if you can trace the leak.
As for that trim peice (IF its the one im thinking about), open the door and there should be 1 screw holding that trim peice down. Remove that screw, the pull the trim towards the rear of the car and it should slide off.
