1990 5.0 HO 20,000 miles on rebuild, starts easily, runs great except when the temperature drops below 30 degrees. Then it will start for 2 seconds or so and quit. Virtually impossible to start. New fuel pressure regulator, new ACT, new ECT, new TP Sensor, 36# fuel pressure. Any suggestions?

Doesn't the fuel pump shut down when it has no oil pressure? I think you get an initial "shot" during cranking to start, then the pump needs an oil pressure signal to keep running. Cold temp and sluggish oil pressure build-up? Maybe a pressure sensor problem? Dunno how to check that-not sure if you want to ground the wire or not. Hair dryer and warm the oil pan to see if it goes away?<IMG src=smileys/smiley19.gif border="0">
