Default need new battery cables?

The + cable is suffering from corrosion that seems to be inside the cable/shroud and the batt to block ground is really cracked and brittle. is there a write up on what lengths to use or to add additional ground points so i can replace these wires?
ive tried the search but could find nothing.

I upgraded all my cables with higher quality 4 awg wire. Be sure to check the ground as well as it can develope corrosion also. All you need to do is pull the old wire off, and then cut one to match and replace it. You can get some upgraded batter connectors from wallmart for 7-8$ each that will not corrode.
