Default Exhaust Question help

Hey all I just got a 5.0 with supposedly only 57000 original miles not sure about that. No mods that I know of it is lowered not sure how much it sits pretty low.

Anyway here is my question I think it haas original exhaust on it and I know the pipe after the muffler on the drivers side is rusted through. I want to put new exhaust on it here we do have a visual inspection for cats.

I was wondering if I could get some suggestions for exhaust. With cat and without cats. Please let me know what sounds good I wold like it fairly loud but really know little about exhaust and hopefully 1000 will get me what I need.

wow.. pathetic.

itll take about 2 hours to install it all yourself... go grab a wrench and learn how to fix your own car.. or go buy something with a warranty.

Thanks for the encouragement it is greatly appreciated. Just because I have someone else do the work I am pathetic? Several things come into play one of which is time? Secondly yeah I really dont know what I am doing when it comes exhaust I have never messed with it. Nor I have I looked into it. I dont necessarily think it warrants being called pathetic but whatever.

There is nothing to it. A monkey could bolt on exhaust. Do like when you were raised and put things back where you found them.

Maybe I will try it but just because I have never tried and did not know it was easy does not mean I should be called pathetic. Man if someone would have responded with it is not that difficult to do and maybe pointed me to somewhere that gave me ideas then that helps me. Just telling me it is easy and saying how pathetic really does not help.

My biggest concern would be the headers but hey If I do the exhaust myself then I do not have to worry about cats becausue my guy never checks for them

If it wasn't for headers, an exhaust shop would do it. They may do headers too, I have never asked. Around here a mechanic will do all labor for less than a hundred. Don't buy anything that needs welding and you should be fine whatever you do. Good time to put in some new 02 sensors too.
