I picked up this 82GT for $1500...the interior is great except for front seats and carpet. Straight body except one dent. I have a question though.. the car is a GT, it has a 302 from a '71 Ranchero and a T-5 Transmission. The only thing that bugs me is that the front bumper and rear bumper cover mouldings dont line up, and on this 82 the body moudling is part of the car, it doesnt screw or tape on. Is there another piece of moulding that goes over the stuff on the body to line up with these covers? Or what is going on. Thanks for taking a look.

Either the car was wrecked and the body lines don't match, or there is a peice of trim missing like you had said. Go on 50resto.com and see if you can find a peice of trim that goes right there.

im off to go sneak a peak at an 82GT i know of to see what the problem is :P im almost certain its trim moulding tho because it was never wrecked.

all stangs have that look without hte moldings. that year stang had moldings that looked close to the body itself. get yourself some moldings and youll be fine.
