Question gauge clusters?

can you put a 87-89 cluster in a 91 gt and have it still work or is the electronics different?

The electronic should be fine, I don't know (because I'm ignorant) if the 85 mph speedo will work right or be off (should be fine) But the electronics are the same

This is not the case. In 1990 the wiring in the plugs under the hood changed a bit. you can make it work but you have to repin the harness under the hood. (the two round cannon plugs on the driver side)

I have a gauge cluster out of a 93 four banger, you'll need your tach though

The shape and mounting bolt locations of the 87-89 and 90-93 models are different. Not only will it not exactly wire up correctly, but it won't bolt in, either.

As Mattdel said, no the 87-89 cluster will not work. They will plug in but you will experience many issues. The first and biggest being that your car will not charge. I do know this from first hand experience.
