played out water pump??
Spent 5 hours detailing my car ('94 Cobra) today. get all done, jump in it and go somewhere, car overheats. it has a brand new mishimoto 3-row radiator, and new Ford 195* Thermostat. I limp it back home, and let it cool down. I then remove the upper rad. hose, check coolant level, and start it back up and let it run to operating temp. Nothing but steam came out of the thermostat neck. Now, i have a Prestone back flush kit installed, so i removed the cap on that too, nothing but steam, heat not working. let it cool down and left the cap off the T-fitting on the heater hose, filled the radiator to the top with water and blew in it to create pressure inside the system, and water came out of the line. The funny thing is, i'm not seeing anything from the weep hole on the water pump, and the pulley seems tight. Anybody got any ideas? i'm dead set on water pump..just wanted to verify before replacing...thanks in advance!

did you bleed the cooling system well enough to get all of the air out of the system before you called it good after installing the radiator? you need to have the heater and blower motor on HIGH and let the car run for a while with the radiator cap off. lifting up the front end will help the air escape faster. my 88gt takes forever everytime i've had to bleed the system. if you don't see any leaks around the water pump gaskets or from around the weep holes, why do you think its the water pump??
