Default EEC1V test...by gremlins

Pin 46 ECU circuit 359 Sensor Signal Return and pin 48 circuit 209 Self Test Input connected by jumper wire will make PCM do tests. My car started doing the test without a connector (jumper wire). SIG RTN and STI do not have continuity at PCM connector 294. STI has no continuity to power grounds pin 40 circuit 570 or pin 60 circuit 570 or chassis grd. Borrowed a PCM out of a 94 and same thing. Car acts up if try do drive when it keeps testing. CCRM next?

a gremlin indeed,

Remove the PCM harness from the PCM

ohm the two wires and see if they are shorted together,

Instal the harness back and retest, same with the CCRM.

looking at the CCRM wiring diagram, I can only see the pin 60 ECM go to 18 CCRM, but not to 48 STI, just wondering how the CCRM would be at fault for such an action, unless you fried the second box testing and a sensor or circuit is shorted frying the boxes on sefl test/run or KOEO

Any opinion?

Took STI out cut wire near PCM still self tests this after removing inner fender and opening harness. Disconnected 02 and same thing, disconnected harness to 02 and stopped. Low oil level sensor wire disconnected and stops. It has 12v? Where is low oil sensor relay? Plugged all back in and is now correct? Washed car and no spark. GREMLINS

Id unplug all connectors, spray electrical contact cleaner in them and let dry, it removes moisture, and washing the engine of an fuel injected car can cause these issues.

CCRM cleared the code 543. Engine is only 11 months old, no need to clean. Will start disconnecting sensors and see if stops. Unplugged 02 harness and low oil level sensor wire does not have 12V today and car has spark, runs, and continous self test again.

Have unplugged rt and lt 02 reconnected one at time finally caught the rt 02 triggering test. Replaced, drove car, life is good. So if CEL starts all by itself check 02.

Never gave a code for 02 in any way. Had 327 egr deleted with evr. I was saying if PCM starts testing without initiation ...check 02. Check koeo faults and repair first, then running faults, use cylinder balance, and then try to repoduce memory faults and repair. Appreciate input, aode08 the only member willing to try with this Gremlin. Thank you, Bubba
