Default MSD Distributor Quality/Concerns Questions for 94-95 5.0

I am thinking about purchasing a MSD Drop-in distributor for my 94 cobra and I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with them.

I have went through two crappy Autozone rebuilt distributors, and now a rebuilt motorcraft one is giving me issues after a year and a couple months.

What is the quality of the electronics and mechanical parts like on the MSD? Also I have heard some issues with the MSD cam gear with aftermarket cams, is this a major concern? Should I just put a aftermarket cam gear on it before I put it in?

I think Autozone anything is just terrible quality. One was bad right off the bat and the second one the electronics failed. In the reman motorcraft one I have now when it warms up at higher rpm it just hits a wall and won't go anymore. It is getting progressively worse because last week I got on it and it hit a wall at like 3,500.

Do you know where to get new motorcraft ones from? May just go that route or get another replacement one from Kragen since they have a limited lifetime warranty.
