Default T5 to C4

I am building up a 351W to swap in over the winter. I am also considering swapping from a T5 to a C4. What all is involved in such a swap? Should I look for a certain year C4?
Just looking to get a rough parts list of what I'd need. I know I'll need to move the tranny cross member but thats no biggie. Any info is appreciated.

Look for a 1970-up C4 or C5 if you can find one. Also a 157T if possible. You'll need the basics: flexplate, Torque converter, and shifter. Slide the trans crossmember forward like already said. And a longer DS is usually needed, or a spacer can be used.

Thanks guys. This car sees track action every Friday night and Im getting tired of banging gears. I think with a C-4 I can be more consistent
