Default WOT car starts to jerk and stumble

Ok so heres my problem, my car is starting to run bad, I was driving and all of a sudden I felt it like it wanted to turn off so I gave it some gas and my RPM jump up high like I had floored it. while driving back home I gave it all the throttle it had and it started to take off at about 3k to 4 k RPM it stumbled really bad like it was lacking something, as soon as I ease off the throttle it picks back up with alot of power . I took it back to my garage and tried messing with the Fuel pressure but still no luck I also checked timming and its at about 12 degrees could be better. it still not running right. everytime give it WOT the car stumbles. heres my mod list:

306 Trickflow heads, upper and lower, 75 mm throttle, 75mm MAF, 24lb injectors, 190 pump, transgo tranny , 3.73 gears, and V-3 charger. please help

Does it hesitate/stumble once you get up to speed, or does it stumble the second you hit the gas pedal at WOT? If it hesitates when you get up to speed, it could be that your stator is locked up in your torque converter. Have you checked the transmission fluid lately? If it is locked up your fluid will look more brown then red, and it will have a burnt smell to it depending on how long it has been acting up. The longer it has been locked up, the more brown/burnt it will be.

The stator redirects the flow of the transmission fluid in the torque converter but it isn't needed once you get up to speed. It is splined onto a one-way rolling clutch and if that is locked up, your car will fall on its face once it gets up to speed.

If it hesitates the minute you hit the gas, your roller clutch in your stator might not be engaging when it should, if at all. A free running stator will show in your acceleration, since it's not redirecting the fluid like it should.

Just my initial thoughts, anyway... Keep us posted

- Spencer

Ok thanks for the tip. So I guess I had 2 problems.
1. the MAF had a small pin that was not making contact making it super rough to time right. fix this issue. I also had to turn the MAF so that it would take the right reading.
2. I think your right Spencer. If I put it in 1 st gear and gun it (WOT) it runs like a lion after a gazelle, lots of power and instant response, but once I shift to 2nd it fall flat on face stumples hesitates and I have to back of the throttle. Do you still think its the stator? or something else.

hmm... are you sure your mustang has an engine?

if the car does not have an engine, it will have problems.
