Default Can I bypass some components?

I need your pro advice before I buy a shorter belt for my '92 GT. Due to the stupid laws in my state, I can't remove the smog. So is it safe to bypass it along with the a/c and power steering without having to buy anything besides the shorter belt? I really need to know because i'm going to buy it soon.

Oh, and how do I know which belt to buy. Or is it a trial and error thing until one fits. Do you guys have any belt numbers or brands to help me out.

Thanks...

Default RE: Can I bypass some components?

you wont be ablt to get away with just a shorter belt. if you bypass power stearing and a/c you wont have any pulleys on that side of the motor. youll have to leave one or buy a delete kit. personally id leave the a/c hooked up. with the a/c off, the a/c pump doesnt steel any hp because the a/c clutch wont be engaged. so bypassing it wont really get you any power. remove the pump from the car will take some nice weight off though
