Default Predictions

I am almost finished the build up. I hope to install the engine tomorrow. Here it is; 302 .030 over for 306 cubes. Light weight flat top pistons which were a total of 2.4 lbs lighter than the 8 stock pistons. I blue printed the engine and set up the engine for a piston hieght of .005" below deck. I also installed oil restrictors and ARP rod bolts. The rotating assembly was balanced and we had to drill 6 large holes in the crank counter wieghts to lighten up the crank to match the new pistons. Crank end play was checked along with all bearing clearances and rod side clearances. ARP oil pump shaft is in the mix with AFR 185 heads, E303 cam, 1.7 roller rockers, BBK unequal 1 5/8" shorties, cat back exhaust, 24lb inj. and matching mass meter, cobra intake, 70 mil T body, 190 lph pump, degreed cam in and gapped the rings. The engine is in the 9.6 to 1 range. Car won't be dyno'd but all your insights would be great on HP estimates. Thanks

Default RE: Predictions

well you got to much head for the setup you have. i would either port teh cobra intake or ditch it. then with that build up i woudl ditch the E cam and go with the TFS 2 cam. with the current setup you got your not optomizing your heads and bottomend with that cam and intake. but it will work together but you can gain so much more by ditching that setup and keeping the heads and bottom end

now from looking at different dyno numbers and combos i would say your close to about 250 to 270 rwhp range
