RAGNAROK

Every once in a while when I am in park and I shift into reverse I hear a loud "Clang" . I bought some Brute Force u-joints , do you think that should fix it? I'm pretty sure it's the u-joints but I am also seeing some transmission fluid leaking from somewhere , but I can't pinpoint where it is coming from because I never notice it until i have drove the car and it has sprayed all over the rest of the transmission. It's a remnufactured C4 thats only about 5 months old and i never beat up on it. Any advice?

if it is a automatic check the quick conects that hold the tranny lines to the tranny they may be woreout. Also put some thread tape on the screw in parts. Plus you could have dameged a rear or front seal but both are easy to repair. check to make sure their are no lose bolts on the tranny pan. If the O-ring on the dipstick shaft is bad tranny fluid will push out around it. Also check the O-ring to the shifter. You can check all this easy buy washing off the tranny and let the car sit a while then look for slow drips or leaks. If you find nothing then drive the car down the street a little and back home then check. GOOD LUCK and maybe someone will have a better answer

some times a quick connect will work lose . Mine did and I had to replace it
