transmission cooler
was looking on jegs website for a tranny cooler and they just sell universal coolers. didnt realy see any model specific ones unless you buy a new aluminum radiator. i dont even know if i need one. just seems like a good idea. i dont race my car or anything. just play around. just had a semi built aod put in. has a stall, better clutches, and so fourth. so should i get one, and through whom. thanks

Higher stall speeds and tighter shifts tend to generate more heat. You'll enjoy beating on that new trans a bit, and that also builds heat. Nothing kills an auto trans faster than overheating. In short, I would install an additional cooler.
I prefer to use nothing but AN lines and fittings. But, that's not as critical with the trans as it is with the engine. Rubber lines and hose clamps will work. Eventually they'll crack and leak. And they do tend to seep. Plan on replacing them every couple of years.
Universal coolers work fine. The Mocal plate type coolers are a lot more efficient, but cost a lot more and can be a little more difficult to install.
If you plan on winter driving, plumb the cooler before the stock radiater connection. If it's a warm weather only car, plumb it after the radiater.
Don't use the zip tie things that go through the radiater core. Take the time to fab a bracket to solidly mount it in the air stream and off the radiater core.
