Default Tranny is Reallly messed up now....

Last time i ever take a place to get an alarm system from a place of that installs for only $1...i told them specifically, when you reverse, stick it in 5th first otherwise the gears will grind tremendously, all it took was getting from A to B (b being their garage, a being the parking lot) to F up my tranny.. 5 hrs later i pick up my 89, i get into my car and try and shift, hard as hell. before i took it in, it was shifting like butter, smoothly. now i feel like i cant get it into 1st with out bending the damn shifter. all the gears now are extremely hard to get into...any one have any suggestions?

car shifts fine when the engine is off...but when i turn it on it starts to act up..new clutch cable? quadrant adjustment??

Your trans was messed up before hand if you had to put in 5th first before you throw it in reverse

No run shift OK. Run, shift =crap. Well now, The clutch is not disengaging. Try to adjust cable. Does not improve... time to replace parts.
