OMG, LIKE I SAID, if you look at 80 mounts for a 255, and then look at mounts for a 83 302 (the only year above 80 that they put a 302 in a mustang) they are the same exact part number, so they are the SAME EXACT MOUNTS.

WTF are you talking about??? What do you think a 5.0 is? I know what I am talking about. I have stock mounts on my motor. Just because you talked to some Ford guy doesn't mean he knows ****.

Not trying to make you look at a guys crotch but this is the best pic I have of my mount up close.

If those don't work then you might actually need a newer K member. Any other 2.3 car uses the same K member when a 302 is swapped in. But it sounds like you are confused a little bit.

YES I know WTF a 5.0 302 is. I know what a 4.2 255 is. They are both V8's, and if you look up a 1980 mustang, and the only V8 engine they list for it is a 4.2 255, look up the engine mounts for it, write down the part number. Find a year they made the mustang with a 5.0 302. well, in 79 the engine mount are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, so you go up on years. When you get to 83 mustang, they have a 5.0 302, look up the engine mounts. OMG the part number is the same as the 1980 4.2 255 engine mounts. SOOOOO....logic dictates, if both part numbers are EXACTLY the same, then I can use those engine mounts for my 1980 mustang and put them on a 302 or a 255. Right?

I understand what you are saying with the old mounts but why do you want to use a those mounts though? You are using a 302, use the better mounts. The 84-93 mounts work, the latemodel mounts work, the ones you posted from mustangsunlimited work. Why do the hard work of finding some bracket when you don't need to?

Do you know the difference between an insert mount and a mount that bolt directly to the block? In the picture you show, those bolt directly to the block, from what I can tell. Nice engine by the way. OK, now the engine mounts that all the local parts stores are trying to sell me are not like that. They are insert mounts, or two part mounts, meaning there is a small plate bolted the the block, that i do not have. The insert mount goes in between the k member and that plate. You then use a nut to secure it to the k member (duh) and use a nut to secure it to the plate on the block (just like you would the k member). What I am saying is I need mounts like yours becuase i do not have that plate for the insert mounts.

I see what the problem here was now...lol For one, you told me to do the obvious thing and look for 5.0 mounts. Every where I looked wanted to sell me the ones for the 80 mustang and told me the 84, 85, etc, would not work. The other problem was that when I went to the advance auto link you put up, it use the vehicle info I put in from a couple days ago, so it was showing the same mounts everyone else was telling me I needed, not the ones you actually was trying to show me. If I would have noticed that before I would have told you they look exactly like what I need...lol Sorry for the mix up bro, that was all on me.

Thanks, Ok, now that we are on the same track here. Just so you know, a 1980 302 is a 28oz motor. I have the exact same year motor in my car. When you ask for the mount do not ask for your year. As long as your not looking for a flywheel/flexplate, crank, or a harmonic balancer you can look up your parts under a 84 mustang with a 302. Then if you are running EFI look up the 87-93's. Kinda depends on the part you are looking for. But do not look up things for a 1980 mustang or the Eco van.

http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...51_10051_-1___

Advance's Part Numbers:
2725 Left mount
2726 Right mount

Next time stop being stubborn and just listen to what your told lol

lol...ya, i'm finding that out the hard way. I had a hell of a time figuring out what block I had too. I pulled it out of a 72 van, the way things were hooked up on it made it look like a 72 engine. The firing order said HO 302 or 351w. So that confused me lol cuz HO wasn't util 82 i thought. I measured the intake, wasn't a 351w. Rounded off a bolt tryin to get the starter off. Finally did to find out that it's an 80 block, rebuilt with new cams to make it a HO 302, high performance distributor cap (and that was hell finding the right type of spark plug wires) and aluminum valve covers that say "powered by ford" Haven't seen "powered by ford" valve covers for awhile lol

Now I just need to find an oil cap. The valve cover has a tube coming up off the top, and I can't find an oil cap that won't make it look like a mushroom lmao.
