put a new water pump in my 91 5.0 last thursday... since then blown 2 gaskets in bottom left corner of pump... any ideas why? havent gotten on the gas, been babying the car

use sealer, I use "the right stuff"

Clean surface with single edge razor blade. Use some rtv along with the gasket. Read instructions...does not thighten completely untill starts to tack usually takes 45-minutes, fully hardens(ready for refill,use) in 24 hours. That means do not fill with coolant, water, whatever and get pressure on it or will fail.
