Car randomly dies, wont restart

Car randomly dies, wont restart
so about a week ago i was changing my t-stat out and somehow broke the housing for the ignition control module on the distributor, replaced that along with the pickup in the distributor, after replacing it all was good and car was running, later that night i took it out, it died at a stoplight, wouldnt restart had to tow it, didnt mess with it for a few days and it started right up, went back to start it up and drive it 2 days later and it wont start again, anything this could be that causes no starts randomly?
we re-timed it to 10* it is turning engine over just wont fire up
