Wrong Gasket?

Any kind of vacuum cap. Doesn't matter if you use the regular rubber ones or the plastic colored ones. No air will be running through it so it doesn't need a cap at all really, it just looks better.

The heater core, I would take the hoses off completely and put one back there that wont kink. Regular heater hose will work as long as they are not in a bind and can't be suck shut with a high volume water pump. Or you could go to the parts house and look on the wall for a U shaped preformed hose.

I bypasses the heater core yesterday...I just went to the harware store and got some fitting and put them together, worked real well, I'll have to get a pic and put it up.
