The last few days my brake warning light will come on and off randomly. It comes on few a second then goes off or will stay on for a few seconds then go out then back on then out. Usually when sitting still or just as I start moving/ slowly driving. Played with the ebrake when it happens and it doesn't seem to be it. The brakes suck anyway because the engine doesn't pull alot of vacuum. Had the same issue with it in the 83 (the vacuum). I mean they work but they are soft up top till about half way down.

Fluid level is good
pads/shoes are new
calipers are in good condition

sensor in reservoir or proportioning valve shorting? Possible bad valve?
