No your not, I didn't say it was a 85/86. I said it LOOKS like one BUT since they didn't use all the side moldings I am willing to bet it was converted. That nose is one of the most liked for the 4 eyes so I wouldn't be surprised if it was converted.

yeah but iirc the louvers on the side window are specific to 85-86?? if so I doubt they converted that too.

The louvers were used thru all the 4 eyes. My 83 had them also.

one way to know is the taillights. the 79-82s had those funky taillights, that wont fit on later stangs, and i dont think 83-93 tails will fit on the older ones cuz the holes in the rear panel are cut differently. well, at least from the '80 i pulled a mint set from and my 91, which i tried to fit them on to see how they looked... rear panel is totally different
