Default Clutch questions

so my clutch finally gave out on my way to work today so i have been looking on AM for a new clutch. all the clutches i see on there in the 79-93 section say that they are only good for the 86-93 mustang. my question is, will those clutches not work on my car since i have the 4 speed and not the 5 speed? also, i plan on building a 347 stroker next year so should i buy a clutch now that will support that power since i have to get a new clutch anyways?

thanks

Why purchase your new clutch from American Muscle?
If you plan on adding more power in the future get a clutch that
can support that power.Get a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch you
will love it.After my Spec Stage 2 clutch failed on me I got a Centerforce
Dual Friction clutch and it is the best clutch I ever had!

I'm on my phone so I can't see exactly what car you have but I'm guessing that if you got the 4-speed then its an SROD. Don't think they make aftermarket clutch kits for them but I might be wrong. If you do end up building a healthy stroked motor that trans will not hold up behind it. Just go to the parts store and get a replacement one. It'll last till you do the stroker motor and trans swap. If you got the SROD then you must have a 4-eye. Check out foureyedpride.com. bunch of experts there on everything 4-eye.

The best thing to do and the most fool proof way is to go to either specclutch.com or centerforce.com both sites make sure you're getting the right clutch for your car.
