Default B303 cam install?

Hey guys, I have a couple questions. I have a 94 GT with pretty much a bone stock 5.0 (other than a cold air and MSD ignition) and I am wanting to install a B303 cam for a choppy idle and a good sound. The only thing with this is is that I have heard all sorts of things about mods I will have to do in order for it to run trouble free. I would love to do the mods, but I am on a pretty tight budget. Some say that I will have to change rocker arms, valve springs, pushrods, and fuel rails while others say it will run in a stock motor no problem. I guess the question is will I be able to install the cam without changing anything on the heads or upgrading the fuel system?

Get a different cam though, with a 94/95 look into a Steeda #19 cam, similar to the B303 but it's a dual stage cam instead of a single and most importantly has the 115* lobe setting the 94/95 ECUs look for, the B303 has a 113* setting and has been known to cause minute issues with the 94/95 ECUs.

Man there are so many issues when installing a cam but yes your b303 will work with the stock heads. Ive raced ford mustangs for a living and it will work. You must understand that with old springs you risk the isssue of valve float so you need to know how high you want to rev your car. if you just want the sound without the grind of daily track use youll be fine. if you built this car to race change the springs . you will have some idle issues due to the lobe seperation though, its like a surge at idle. research some more cams and youll find your best one

Alright thanks for the info. I started looking in to other cams, and from what I've read the E303 is the way to go for the 94 and 95 GT's since they seem to be pretty sensitive to cam changes.

E303 is still a single stage cam with a 113* lobe separation
Best aftermarket mild cam for the 94/95 is the Steeda #19 after that you need to go custom grind.

stock cam, retard 4* and install 1.7's...

itll idle fine, and actually make more power than youd think...

BTW, setting the idle to not surge on an SN95 isnt actually that hard...

anyone that says it is just has no mechanical inclination and cant firgure out how to go online and spend 5 minutes to look it up...

just like no aftermarket valve covers fit the SN's other than the stock ones right...?
