UPR "battle box" kit!
I recieved my torque box kit from UPR and i attempted to install them on my 88 coupe today in school... I ran into some issues installing the upper boxes.. wanted to see if anyone else has the same issues with this kit.
I was installing the right box were the upper control arm bolts on.. and drilled the hole out into the floor pan, when i attempted to bolt the plate that sits inside the car the bend on the plate doesnt sit flush on the floor!.. it sits about 3" higher than the trunk floor...
just wondering if anyone had this problem before me...
thanks.

I didn't have a UPR kit, but all that I have installed have been roughly 1/2-1" at the uppermost part of the bend. I have always just worked it down with a hammer and tacked it in each spot. This usually holds it in place to weld fully.

Every car will have a slight difference in tolerances because of how they are driven and what not. Don't let it bother you. Just be sure you have them in right and massage the needed areas to make them fit.
