my headlights have been going on and off for a while. i can usually tap the dash or play with the switch and they are fine. seems likes a loose connection in there or something. just need info on what to check, because i have heard the multifunction switch and headlight switch are known usual culprits. also how can i pop off the headlight tab to take a look inside, i cant seem to pop it off. thanks

there are little plastic tabs around the switch holding it on and are very easy to break use a small screwdrivers and push the ones on the side next to the door in and shimmy it out, put some dialectric grease on the connector and see if that fixes the problem if it doesn't then your switch is likely the culprit.

do you run your fog lights a lot (if you even have them) this is generally what causes this problem

Usually what happens is the switch over heats and shorts out, and usually melts the plug in the back also.

We sell the pigtail to repair the plug and new switches too, if that ends up being the issue. Here's a link to them on our site.

yea.. be carefull on prying open the switch.. but after that, i think its the brown cable that is the headlight cable, just check the connection... i just took one from the junkyard and soldered it. no more issues.
