Default Springs

After installing a 98 8.8 in my 86 the rear springs look terrible. I did not pay any attention to the way the springs were sitting before i removed the factory control arms due to lack of exp. Now i have installed tubular control arms and the springs look to me like they are sitting very wrong. The rear of the springs in not even close to the control arm. Is this normal? By chance does any one have a pic of their factory springs and the way they sit?

Default pigtail position

The pigtail at the bottom of both springs should face toward the drivers side left. The pigtail is the very end of the spring where it is cut off. You can go to the maximum motorsports site and look up the instructions for installing lower control arms. They show a picture how the springs should look.
