Default Remote mounting gauge sending units

I am in the middle of installing two electrical gauges, fuel pressure and coolant temp. I was curious about remount mounting the sending units and was wondering about how to go about it. Any tips would be appreciated.

I guess the fuel pressure sending unit for the gauge can be sensitive with engine vibrations so people remote mount them to the firewall or somewhere else to prevent failure. I was just hoping for some different setups and insight.

Maybe I'm confused as to what you want to actually do. You're asking about the sending units in your first post. As for the gauges, mine were both mounted inside the car. Try to be a lil more clear about what you want to do.

I did this for the oil sender on my street/track car. I didn't like all that weight hanging on the end of a stalk. For the street that's just fine. It will last forever. But for the road course, that's too much abuse IMO.

Interestingly enough, when I removed the sender and extension, it broke off in the wrench. One or two more track sessions and it would have broken in two. What a mess that would be.

Anyway, I fabbed a simple bracket out of angle iron and muffler tubing. I covered it with some rubber drawer liner, and attached the sender with a hose clamp.

Then I connected it to the engine w/ -4 AN fittings and steel braided line.

You could do the same for the fuel pressure gauge. I have an aftermarket pressure regulater mounted on the firewall, and the gauge plugs in to that.
