NEED HELP My shifter is stuck!
Last fall I took my manuel tranny out of my 93 gt to replace the clutch and flywheel. So I got the shifter in and it is stuck in what feels like 1st gear. I can move it a little bit forward and back but cant get it to go anywhere else. What the hell happened? I did drain the fluid out of it when I pulled it, would that have anything to do with it?

Do you got a aftermarket short throw shifter? If you do check the adjustable stops. One of mine loosened up on me and I couldn't get my car to go into first, third, or reverse and it felt like the trans was Jammed onto the cluster shaft. Just a thought.

Well ain't you in luck then. I got a Hurst super comp + 1st generation for sale. Was on my car when I got it but I swapped it out for my brand new Upr blue thunder one just cause I had it so figured I'd swap It out. Nothing wrong with the Hurst and I even threw new springs in it. Pm me if you're interested. Ill let it go for $60 shipped.

Ok, so you removed your shifter from the tranny, can you move the part in the transmission (where the cup is) or is it your actual shifter that's stuck.
If its the tranny thats having the problem the first thing I'd do is just try and force it, but thats me and there's always a chance it will make the problem worse. Did anything give you trouble when you were pulling/putting the tranny back in

time to pull the trans out... you are going to have to open it up and find the root cause of the problems...
since you dont seem very experienced, id suggest you either get another trans, or bring it to a shop/person who knows how to deal with them internally
