Runs rich and won't idle
Hey all, I just installed my new/used Explorer intake in my 95 GT. Before I installed it, my car ran like a top, purred "like a kitten till the lake pipes roar." I have the stock computer with these mods already:
Headers/exhaust
B303/1.7s
190lph fuel pump
Adjustable FPR
24# injectors
76mm MAF calibrated to injectors
70mm Tbody
CAI
Stock heads, ported, oversized valves
New in the car today: Explorer intake
The only thing I changed was the intake, and I made sure I plugged all the right vacuum lines on it that are not used on the Mustang. I triple checked my firing order, all sensors are plugged in, and I couldn't find and vacuum leaks with my mechanic friend. Timing is sitting at 10 degrees BTDC right now, and still the car runs richer than I have ever seen, and won't idle. My first thought is that the stock ECU can't handle the incoming air. Please help a brother out! TIA, guys,
Tyrell

RE: Runs rich and won't idle
OK, this morning I double checked that my fuel harness is connected properly, and it is. There is one thing Im not sure about, I have 2 vacuum lines, a red one and a green one, that run together towards vacuum connections on my elbow adapter right before the tbody. I didn't pay attention when I was pulling them off which line goes to the elbow adapter on the intake, and which one goes to the EGR. Can anyone tell me which is which?

RE: Runs rich and won't idle
OK, it seems like the only thing that could have changed while I was replacing my intake is the timing. I supose it's possible that while I was finding TDC on #1 with my distributor loose, that my distributor skipped a gear. Is it possible for this to happen and still twist the distributor till I get good timing?
