Default 351w heads

hey i have a chance to buy some 351w heads in real good conditions for 150$ i dont plan on buying heads for a loong time so should i go for it? how much better are they than stock 302 heads

What's the part number on them? D0OE? If they are 351 heads from the 80s then they are the same as 302 heads if I remember correctly. If they are D0OE heads then yes they are better then 302 heads as they were they head swap of choice before there was an aftermarket following for the sbf. If they are D0OE and haven't been rebuilt (hardened valve seats installed to run on unleaded fuel, converted to screw in studs, etc.) then I would pass just because the amount of work needed wouldn't be cost effective for the gain in HP you would see. I have a set sitting in my garage and the only reason I got them was because they were rebuilt with hardened valve seats added and I got them for $60.

if they arent D0OE heads, they are the same as your stockers
