oil leak problem

Default oil leak problem

ok so i just did the oil pan gasket for the second time got it all back together put in oil and it didnt leak

turned on the engine and moved the car then all the sudden it leaking from the same place it was

my question is do you think its the oil pan gasket, rms(which is new), pvc valve(new also) or valve cover gasket.

yes a felpro one piece rubber with steel core and i rtved the saddles of the pan

Its leaking from the same place....by this you mean its dripping off the motor in the same spot I take it since you asked if it may be multiple gaskets.

Clean up everything that is verticle of the leak and go check again.

Ok, do this then. Got buy valve cover gaskets, intake gaskets, and a timing cover gasket set and get to work. Its really not that hard to find where oil is comming from. Get an inspection mirror and a flashlight.

done all of those except for vavle cover gaskets i think that could be part of the leak but not all

what happens if the pcv valve has no filter

Did you use rtv between lower intake and block? Replace the screen below pcv? As stated clean the engine real good , oil will leak down start looking from high. They make dye you can put in the oil and use black light to find leak. Use it and you don't have to clean, just look. Lift and mirror help alot.

i was planning on getting the pcv filter i was just wanting to know if that could cause it cause i am pretty sure mine doesnt have one right know

when mine didnt have it it got oil in the pcv valve and couldnt release pressure properly and also the lines ended up getting clogged causing it to blow the pcv valve out
