92 lx 5.0 sputter in 3rd gear

92 lx 5.0 sputter in 3rd gear
I have a 92 lx 5.0 five speed gt40 heads eldelbrock rpm performer 2 intake. If I stand on it in 1sh and 2nd gear it sputters when I hit 3rd gear and then cleans right up my fuel pressure is at 32 and my timing was just checked and the plugs are a few weeks old and they are burning clean I just don't know what else to do

very common problem in aging foxbodies. Run the car until your fuel tank is nearly empty. Drop the tank out and open it up. Check to make sure the baffle inside your tank hasnt broken loose.
Quick acceleration can cause the baffle to put stress on the fuel pump and assembly, which can pinch off the feed hose inside the tank, causing the car to die out when you punch it. There is far less of a sharp increase in acceleration when at higher speeds, which would explain why you dont get the same problem in 3rd+ gears
