Default 5.0 bog off the line

Recently picked up an 88lx that has some work done to it. I got the car and the Guy really didn't tell me exactly what he had done to it. The problem I'm having is that it will bog when you lay on it from a dead stop. The guy had nitrous on it before I got it. The timing was at 0 degrees advanced. I bumped it to 14 and it woke up alot. But it still bogs off the line and it will also pop through the intake. But once it gets to about 2500 it pulls fairly strong. It has autolote 103 plugs which is one step colder. Was thinking the cam may be advanced or something? What else should I be checking.
List of mods: stock lower end, gt40 heads, gt40 intake from explorer, 544 lift cam not sure on duration, 30lb injectors, 75mm throttle body, maf is calibrated for the injectors. C4 trans with a converter that will only flash at 2500. 4.56 gear and a 27" tire.

No codes and it will only pop in first gear from a dead stop but after it reaches about 2500 or so it clears up and goes

Are you sure the timing is accurate? How did it run before you changed it?

Well the only part I'm 100% sure on is the base timing is set at 14 advanced and the computer will advance the timing once the spout connector is plugged back in. I was also this thinking a timing related problem cuz of the pop through the intake. The car ran before I adjusted the timing but it did not make crap for power and still had the bog. If the cam was a tooth off either way would it do this?

I would lean more towards a fueling issue. If the car was never tuned since the h/c/i as done, itll give you little problems like that.

I wouldn't see unported gt40 parts making it need a tune that bad that it bogs like this. Would a heat range colder plugs affect it that much? The fuel pressure is consistent also. And the plugs are tan

its not the heads that are giving you the issue.. its the cam, and the valve events.

Do you think it's just a tune or do you think its a tooth off?
